SECOND SATURDAY
ROCKS! The Lakeway Church presents "Second Saturday Rocks," our
monthly youth praise and worship service. This event takes place on
the second Saturday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary. Some
join us as we bring high energy praise and worship to the Hill Country!

2009 INSPIRATIONAL CALENDARS are now
available at no charge. Pick yours up in the Narthex or the church
office.

DAILY BIBLE READING CALENDAR 2009
is also available at no charge in the
Narthex, the hallway of Fellowship Center or the church office.

SIGNS of the END TIMES - a study of
Bible prophesies unfolding in our time. Starting Sunday, January 4, at both
the 9:30 and 11:00 hours. Taught by Thomas Pollock. The study is also
offered on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in Room 208 of Fellowship Center.

MEN'S MONDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP -
Men to Study Genesis—God's
Revelation of the "Prehistoric" Men speak of prehistoric time but God gave
us a 'history' from the beginning of His creation. Genesis is a
powerful account of God's plan for mankind and His work from the beginning
to bring about man's possibility of righteousness with God out of man's
"wrongfulness'" to God. Plan to come 7 am Monday mornings, beginning
January 5, to study the OT history book most quoted in the NT. We will
serve you coffee, juice & breakfast snacks. To get a study book, contact Tom

LADIES NIGHT OUT - on Saturday,
January 10, GEMS, our Women's Ministry, will host an evening of food,
fellowship and a free movie!
You
and your friends will be inspired by the movie, The Hiding Place, the
true story of Corrie ten Boom, the Dutch Christian whose family hid Jews in
their home during World War II. As a result, her family was arrested and
sent to concentration camps. After her miraculous release, Corrie traveled
the world telling about God’s amazing love. Corrie’s personal assistant for
the last seven years of her life was Pam Rosewell Moore, our speaker for our
January women’s retreat. Bring a friend and view the movie
beginning at 6:30 in Fellowship Center Hall. Reservations are required
by January 7 in the church office.

2009 Women’s Retreat is full. If
you would like to come for the day on Saturday, please contact Jill Agee,
261-6331 ext 11 or jill@lakewaychurch.net. We have limited space available. Dates
are Friday/Saturday, January 23/24.

SUPER BOWL BREAKFAST - the Men's
Ministry of the church is hosting the "2009 Athletes in Action" during a
Super Bowl Men's Breakfast on Saturday, January 31st. Hosted by
three-time Super Bowl Champion Brent Jones and featuring the inspiring faith
testimonies of Bart Starr, Tony Dungy, Anthony Munoz and Derrick Brooks, the
program includes the prestigious Bart Starr Award presentation.
Breakfast will begin at 8:30 with the program starting at 9:30. There
is no charge for this event, but donations are accepted. Please
register in the church office.

FOCUS ON MARRIAGE - Seeing your
marriage through the eyes of God. LIVE VIA SATELLITE February
28, 2009. This landmark event will show you what your relationship
looks like through God's eyes. Focus on Marriage will help you
understand the higher purpose of your marriage, while providing practical
insights to help with everyday issues. More information to follow.
