The Lakeway Church MOPS group began in 2004 with approximately two dozen members as an outreach to the mothers of preschoolers in the Lake Travis area. It is part of the international MOPS organization and encourages mothers to be the best moms they can be. If you’re interested in attending or have more questions, please RSVP to Danielle Richard 261-5001 (daniellerichard@sbcglobal.net) or email lakewaymops@yahoo.com. We look forward to meeting you and your children! Do you want lots of FREE HUGS? Do you find yourself humming silly songs all day long? Do you love to read stories and just have tons of fun? Then the Moppets program of MOPS is for you! MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) is looking for loving caregivers for their Moppets program for children ages 0—5 years old. Positions are for the second and fourth Monday of each month from 9 am to noon starting September 10th. Volunteer and paid positions are available. Anyone interested in helping our little ones a little or a lot, please call Jen at 261-5036.
Support for Christian Wives and Mothers! M.O.P.S. exists to encourage, equip, and develop mothers of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. M.O.P.S. is a Christian non-profit organization that believes in working with local Christian churches to maximize ministry opportunities to God’s Kingdom. The Lakeway Church hosts a M.O.P.S. program on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month (except summer) from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The current focus is to line up speakers for the coming sessions. M.O.P.S. is looking for speakers who can talk about topics related to a mother’s life (e.g.: how to be a better mom, wife, and woman; teaching children to pray; spiritual development of children; disciplining children; and any and all marriage issues.) TLC is a diverse and talented body of believers. Please consider lending your knowledge and experience to this valuable program for young mothers. Making it possible for young mothers to attend M.O.P.S. sessions means CHILDCARE for their little ones. However, childcare with a Biblical focus is what “MOPPETS” is all about. If you would like to work with children but aren’t available on Sundays, consider volunteering with MOPPETS. |
