Pastor for Students, Lee Rutter
James
Lee Rutter grew up in a Christian home and developed strong spiritual family
values from early on. Lee and his wife Candace have been married for a year
and a half and have just moved to Lakeway.
Lee was licensed to ministry in 1991 by the

Baptist
Church
in
Bedford

Texas
. He
graduated from
Hardin-Simmons
University
,
Abilene
,
Texas
in 1996 with
a Bachelor of Arts degree. From 1995-1997, Lee was pastor for the
Wilmeth
Baptist
Church
in
Wilmeth
,
Texas
. From
1998-2000, Lee served in the
Woodland
Heights
Baptist
Church
in
Bedford
,
Texas
where he
served as a College and Career Teacher and as a children's teacher. Lee
has also participated in missions trips to
Honduras
, planting
churches. Lee graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary,
Fort Worth
,
Texas
in 2001 with
a Master of Divinity Degree. In 2001, Lee received field education at the
Mary-Niblack Baptist Church, Ardmore, Oklahoma and at the Fellowship Church,
Grapevine, Texas. From 2002 to the present, Lee has served at the Church
of Rush Creek,
Arlington
,
Texas
as a College
and Singles Pastor.
Lee is
serving The Lakeway Church as Pastor for Students. He looks forward to
getting to know each and every student from The Lakeway Church and also building
relationships with the students in the community.
