Senior Adventurers

March 20—The Senior Adventurers March adventure will be a trip through the Willow City Loop and lunch somewhere along the way!  Mark your calendar for March 20th.  More information will be announced later!

The Senior Adult Retreat is coming in April!  The date is Saturday, April 5^th from 9:30 until 2:30 here at the church.  Our speakers this year are Dr. Russell Dilday who, among other positions, is a retired Distinguished Professor of Homiletics and Hermeneutics at the George Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, and Dr. Don Newbury, retired president of Howard Payne University.  The cost is $15.00 per person and lunch is included.  Please sign up in the church office by March 31^st.  DON’T MISS IT!!!!!!  For information on any of the Senior Adventurers events, contact Pastor Brent Graham in the church office at 261-6331 ext 16 or Nona Kilgore at 261-8158.

 

Most third Thursdays of the month, our Senior Adventurers group fills our 25 passenger bus for a fun-filled day in Austin or the surrounding area.  They have been to the Bramburger Ranch near Johnson City, the Bob Bullock Museum in downtown Austin, to Fredericksburg for a lovely afternoon, and the Bush Presidential Library on the campus of Texas A & M University!  They also enjoyed a trip to Marble Falls and Johnson City to see the Christmas Lights!   In the spring they hit the LBJ Library, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the great town of Wimberly!
