Thanksgiving FeastsThanksgiving was celebrated by the youth department in a very special way. An Awesome High School Youth Thanksgiving Feast!
The High School Youth Group is growing
stronger everyday, in numbers, as well as in faith. What a great group
of kids! We went out to Rosie's on Sunday night to share fellowship
and thanksgiving. There were 20 kids presents and each one shared with
the group one thing for which they were thankful. A common thread in
their thanks was for our youth group. It is so encouraging to see these
kids committed to the Lord and that they appreciate and uplift their friends
that are following the same path. The high school group will be terrific
role models for the upcoming middle schoolers.
A Fabulous Middle School Youth Thanksgiving Feast! The middle school held a pot luck feast that included anything from turkey, ham, fried chicken, chicken spaghetti to green bean casserole, rice & gravy and macaroni & cheese! The food was fabulous and, oh, the deserts -- a chocolate bonanza! Over 50 middle school youth attended and everyone was fat and happy! But, that’s not why this evening was so special. Rev Mac took this great opportunity to hold a rather strong sermon regarding how seriously (or not) our middle school youth are taking their walk with Christ, and boy did the tears flow! There were tears of sorrow, remorsefulness, reconciliation and joy! And then we took communion like we’ve never done before! What a fabulous evening! Our middle school youth are walking a good bit stronger with Christ, today! Thanks, Rev Mac, for such a fantastic and memorable evening! Click on an image below to view in a larger format.
