Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School 2002 was a huge hit!  With over 250 students and volunteers we worked our way deep into the rain forest and managed to navigate the Amazon River with all it's perils to find our way back to safety by using our faith in One True God!  It was a wonderful adventure with an even better ending!  We had 12 new students to profess their faith in Jesus Christ!

Vacation Bible School

Last summer, our Vacation Bible School was a great success!  We presented Lifeway's Truth Trackers and the Secret of the Stone Tablets during  the week of June 11 - 15, 2001,  in partnership with Emmaus Catholic Church.  The theme was built around an action adventure journey through the deserts of Egypt and the Middle East.  The week was filled with exciting Bible stories, a search for the secret of the Stone Tablets, a kiosk of crafts, fun music in the Music Courtyard, and refreshments and recreation for all Truth Trackers.  The expedition was open to the children and youth ages 4 through 7th grade.  Childcare was be provided for VBS workers who had children under 4.

Thanks to all of you who contributed to the cause!  We had ore than 50 adult volunteers and youth workers most of whom are members of The Lakeway Church.  That's exciting!  We had an average attendance of 155 children with a high attendance of 170!  We collected $180.19 in pennies and other coins that went to Houston Flood Relief.  Thanks for all your prayers and support!
