Worship by the Lake

June, 2002

Oh, what a beautiful evening! The weather was perfect for such a wonderful event! After a little play time we set up our chairs under the enormous shade of an oak tree and enjoyed lots of praise and worship and were reminded by Dr. Collins and Rev Mac of what it means to be baptized. Then we walked down to the water and got to experience the baptisms of three of our youth members! It was wonderful!

"Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water." Matthew 3:13, 16

July Worship by the Lake was cancelled due to flooding.

August, 2002

Once again, a beautiful evening for worship! The August heat gave way to soft summer breezes and a coolness that only the gentle rippling of the water from the lake could provide. It was a glorious setting for a wonderful evening. We are so blessed to have such a great park in our community!

After enjoying lots of praise and worship, many testimonies from members of our congregation, and inspiring words from our ministers, we got to witness the baptisms of 6 more of our youth!
