Recurring Youth Events

Youth Group

During the school year, the  Sunday Night Youth Group meets every Sunday evening for games, food, worship and a message.  This program is loosely structured as it is offered as an outreach, a safe environment in which students can come and just hang with their friends.  This is a great opportunity to get introduced to our church or bring a friend!

For more information regarding the goals of our Youth, click here.

Summer Mission Trips

Each summer, we load up our bus and a few other vehicles, and take off to a needy community to help out in any way we can.  The last two years we went to Reynosa, Mexico and the year before that to New Mexico.

We are booked for our mission trip for this summer but we'll be doing it again next summer, so stay posted!  If you would like to find out more about our mission trips, please email Becky Willinger, our Missions Coordinator, and let her know!

Lakeway Service Project

Each year in early December, the youth of the Lakeway Church help out our community and participate in a fundraiser by delivering all the Lakeway Directories to the doorstep of each Lakeway resident!  That's a lot of directories and takes a lot of people to accomplish this task.  So parents, gas up your car, truck, suburban, whatever, and come to the church bright and early to load up a bunch of directories and kids!  We'll have donuts, pizza and drinks on hand to keep everyone going!

Breakfast Tacos

We have adopted taco sales as a regular fund raiser but on an irregular schedule to support various activities and events!  Your participation will directly reduce the cost of your trip!

Next Taco Sale --  TBA

If you'd like to participate, all you have to do is sign up and then show up and either cook, compile, clean or sell tacos between each of the services!  Then, between services, you will stand outside of the sanctuary and sell them for $2 each!    It's a great way to earn money for your youth department!

This taco sale will help fund our 2004 Spring Break Ski Trip!   To sign up just contact Melissa Ruffin, our Youth Ski Trip Coordinator!

Car Wash

Click To PreviewA wet n wild way to clean up Lakeway cars and earn money for our Car_spins_2.gif fabulous youth department!  It's a blast!  Be sure and wear something that can get wet, shoes that can get wet, sunscreen and a towel!
