Youth Events Fall - Spring, 2003 - 2004Middle School Night Out with Rev Mac! Friday, January 23rd. We loaded up the bus and headed into town for a dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and a movie at Gateway! Movies showing at Gateway were: Peter Pan, Cheaper by the Dozen and Teacher's Pet! High School Night Out with Rev Mac! Saturday, January 31st We loaded up the bus and headed out for some dinner, bowling, and putt putt by midnight ! It was cold but it was a blast! Party, Party, Party!!!! Sunday, February 1st from 5:30pm - 9:30pm! An entire wall of the youth room was lit up in Superbowl! It was awesome! And food, food, food everywhere! And of course there was the game room, volley ball, basketball and other games goin' on! Prizes were awarded every quarter and a grand prize at the end of the game. What a day!
It's that time o' year again! Time to earn the big bucks for our big events!
The youth of the Lakeway Church were once again blessed with the opportunity to both serve our community and earn money for the ski trip and summer mission trips! A whole bunch of our fabulous youth and many parents warmed up with coffee, hot chocolate and donuts. Then we all split up to cover different sections of Lakeway, divided up the directories among the vehicles and headed out and hit every single house in the City of Lakeway! It was a huge task, but this is definitely one of those the more the merrier type deals! We had a great time! Our youth celebrated Christmas with some great bar-b-que at Buster's and then loaded up with our leaders to deliver Christmas gifts and sang Christmas Carols to our Angel Tree Families! It was truly a wonderful evening!
Sunday - Tuesday, December 21st - 23rd, from 6:00pm - 8:30pm This year we're gonna try something a little different! We're going to perform a live nativity in several acts in several sets throughout our church property! This is going to be awesome! To sign up, just let Stephen know what part you want to play!
On Sunday, October 12th,
things were very different in our church services! That's because
the youth department ran all three services! How refreshing it was
to hear praise and worship and wonderful messages from a youthful perspective.
As we get on with our years we tend to forget the challenges we faced as a
youth and sometimes fail to realize that the challenges today are much more
complicated! Thank heavens for our wonderful youth and the strength of
their convictions!
A busload of kids, already sick of school and
in need of a break
